An alumnus of the Hollywood Film Institute - having studied "Directing Craft" with Frederick Johntz and Dov Simens in Santa Monica California.  Continued study of "Emotional Dynamics"   with Carl Oppenheimer in New York City. 

 

Gaylord is Also a consummate actor, landing a guest starring role in the Warner Brothers TV show "One Tree Hill''   /  Lead role in "Americas Most Wanted"  - and  appearances in various independent films. 

 

CSA Casting Director Shay Griffin cast Gaylord in the supporting role of "Crude"  - in the dramatic musical "A Time To dance ''  - a role  that required formidable skills as an actor and singer. Also skilled as a theater director, he received critical acclaim for his directorial debut of  Gia at The Seven Stages Theater in Atlanta. 

 

Gaylord Parsons has taught many innovative courses including the Urban American Filmmakers Workshop For Actors at Emory University, which featured himself, Vanessa Williams and director Rob Hardy as lead instructors.  He also appeared as guest lecturer for the film department at the American Intercontinental University in Buckhead Atlanta.
